As per the mission statement, Empire Electric's rates are cost based, to provide efficient and reliable utility service, at reasonable rates. Residential rates are designed so customers pay for energy used, plus a facilities charge.
Rate Schedule (Residential and Farm and Home)
Empire Electric offers a choice of rates for the residential consumer, the standard rate and the time-of-use rate. The time-of-use rate will appeal to the consumer who uses large amounts of electricity and is willing to shift enough of their electric load to off-peak times. This rate is not for everyone, but savings can be realized if enough of their electric load is shifted to a time when
fewer people are using electricity. Contact Empire Electric Administration to see if this rate will work for you.
